The happiest face on your desk.
A solar-powered smiling Maitreya Buddha figurine with an oversized head, pure cheerful desk energy, five colors, and gentle light-powered movement.
About This Piece
Maitreya Buddha, the laughing, smiling, round-bellied Buddha, is one of the most beloved figures in East Asian culture. In temples across China, Vietnam, and Southeast Asia, his smiling face is a symbol of contentment, abundance, and the ability to find joy regardless of circumstances.
Our solar big-head Maitreya figurine leans into the charm: an oversized smiling head on a small body, with gentle movement when sufficient light reaches the solar cell. This listing presents it as a decorative desk figurine. Consider the recipient’s preferences about religious imagery before choosing it as a gift. Five colors available. 7.1 × 6.2 × 10.8 cm. $16.90.

FAQ
Does it need direct sunlight?
Try a bright position near a window or an indoor light source. Movement depends on the light reaching the solar panel; dim lighting may not be sufficient. Avoid excessive heat.
Do I need batteries?
No replacement batteries are required; the figurine uses its solar cell to power movement.
How should I care for it?
Keep the solar panel clean and dry. Dust gently with a soft cloth, avoid forcing moving parts, and keep the figurine away from excessive heat.

Choosing a display for the smiling Buddha
Check the listed 7.1 × 6.2 × 10.8 cm dimensions against a stable, dry indoor surface. Leave clearance for the moving part and expose the panel to sufficient light; the name and oversized head do not establish a particular movement pattern or an age-suitability rating.
For a recipient who enjoys this imagery, our gift guide for parents discusses taste and placement. For a shared workspace, compare the practical light and clearance checks in our office desk placement guide. Symbolic meaning is not a promise of wellbeing, wealth, or other results.
Made to move
A little wave changes the room
Each LIEE FLAT CAT companion is molded from premium ABS with a soft matte finish, then fitted with its solar cell and moving arm by hand. Every expression is checked in natural light before it leaves the workshop, so the wave you receive is as calm and steady as the one in the photos.
